Love is the foundation of everything we do. It's in the name of our first product, it's the thesis behind our entire platform, and it's the standard we hold ourselves to. We love our Citizens. We love what we're building. We treat every interaction, with users, with each other, with the public, with genuine love and care. We're a Public Benefit Corporation because love, in all four forms of romantic, platonic, community, and self, is the infrastructure humans need most. A Society Built On Love isn't just a tagline. It's the work we do every day because it's what we believe the world needs and deserves.
We build tools that put people in control, which we believe has never truly been done before the way we're doing it when it comes to finding your person, your people, your communities, and yourself. Our Citizens decide who they see and who can see them. Not an algorithm, not an advertiser, not us. Empowerment isn't lip service, it's in the very architecture of everything we build. Every product decision starts with the question: does this give our Citizens more power or less? If it's the latter, it doesn't get built until it's the former.
We exist because the status quo is broken and nobody in any of the industries we touch has the incentive to fix it. We do. We challenge Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, and Match by name. We call out their manipulative business models. We build the alternatives. We'll do the same for all four types of Love. We don't play nice with systems designed to keep people lonely for profit, and we don't do it quietly. We do it out of love for our Citizens. We will never shy away from courting controversy if it serves our mission, our vision, our values, and the best interests of the people we're here to serve.
Finding your person, your people, your communities, and yourself should be exciting, not exhausting. The same should be true for building the company that helps people do it.
