On Deck Society - Terms of Service
Effective Date: January 25, 2026 | Last Updated: August 17, 2026 | v3.4 Effective: August 17, 2026
Welcome to On Deck Society
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Love On Deck, Forge On Deck, and all other products or services offered by On Deck Society, a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation (“On Deck Society,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to these Terms.
On Deck Society operates as a Public Benefit Corporation with a mission to foster meaningful human connections through transparent, user-controlled discovery. We believe you should control who sees you and who you see, no algorithms deciding your fate.
1. Eligibility
1.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use any On Deck Society product, including Love On Deck and Forge On Deck. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. We verify this through your provided birthdate during registration.
1.2 Legal Capacity
You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using our services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
1.3 Prohibited Users
You may not use any On Deck Society products or services if you:
- Are required to register as a sex offender
- Have been previously banned from our platform
2. Your Account
2.1 Registration
To use any On Deck Society product, you must create an account with accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
2.2 One Account Per Person
You may only maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts to exploit promotional offers, starter credits, founding pricing, or Brand Ambassador benefits violates these Terms.
2.3 Account Security
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@OnDeckSociety.com immediately.
2.4 Your Numbers
Everyone with an On Deck Society account is a Citizen and receives a Citizen number, assigned in the order accounts are created. Your Citizen number is an identifier. It does not by itself carry any pricing, benefits, or status.
When you join one of our products you also receive a number for that product. On Love On Deck you become a Lover and receive a Lover number, assigned when your submitted deck is approved. Future products work the same way.
Your numbers never change and are never reassigned. They belong to your account, and they are what determine your pricing tier under Section 6. Section 6.4 explains what happens to them if you cancel a subscription or delete your account.
3. Love On Deck
Users of Love On Deck are called “Lovers.”
3.1 Your Deck
Your “deck” is your profile for Love On Deck, a pitch deck-style presentation of who you are. Your deck is built by answering a series of questions about yourself, your interests, and what you are looking for. This is not a traditional dating profile. It is designed to give potential connections a real sense of who you are. All information in your deck must be truthful and accurate. Misrepresenting your identity, age, relationship status, or other material facts violates these Terms and may result in account termination.
3.2 Selfie Verification
When you submit your deck, you must take a live selfie using your device camera. This selfie is compared against the photos in your deck to verify that you are who you claim to be. By submitting a selfie, you consent to this verification process. Selfie verification is required. You cannot submit a deck without completing verification.
3.3 The Invisibility Vilter
The Invisibility Vilter is a feature that allows you to pre-exclude specific people from ever seeing your deck. You can add email addresses or phone numbers to your Invisibility List manually, one entry at a time. You may also, at your option, use the bulk contact import feature (where available) to match your device's contact list against On Deck Society's user base and pre-populate your Invisibility List with matching accounts.
Once an email or phone number is on your Invisibility List, any Citizen whose account email or phone matches that entry will not be able to see your deck. They will not be notified. They will not receive any signal that they have been excluded. From their perspective on On Deck Society, you do not exist. This is the feature working as designed.
If a person who is on your Invisibility List creates a new On Deck Society account after you add their information, the match will be detected at the time of their signup and they will be invisible to you automatically from that point forward. You do not need to update your list to cover future signups.
You can view, edit, or delete your Invisibility List at any time through your account settings. Deletions are effective immediately.
3.4 Contact Upload Warranty and Indemnification
If you choose to use the bulk contact import feature of the Invisibility Vilter, you represent and warrant that you have the right to share the contact information you upload for the purpose of pre-excluding those contacts from ever seeing your deck. You acknowledge that by uploading contacts, you are disclosing third-party personal information to On Deck Society.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless On Deck Society, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to (a) contact information you upload that you did not have the right to share, or (b) any claim by a third party that their personal information was processed by On Deck Society based solely on your upload.
On Deck Society's processing of uploaded contact information is strictly limited to the hashing and matching operation described in our Privacy Policy and used exclusively to filter visibility per your expressed preference. We do not contact, identify, profile, or market to any person whose contact information appears in your upload. We retain only one-way cryptographic hashes of matched contacts so the Invisibility Vilter continues to work as new Citizens join On Deck Society.
3.5 The ViSi System
Love On Deck uses a proprietary filtering engine called ViSi. Unlike traditional dating apps, Love On Deck does not use algorithms to decide who you see. You decide.
- Silters (Search Filters) control who appears in your discovery feed. You set the criteria for who you want to see.
- Vilters (Visibility Filters) control who can see you. This is the feature no one else has. You set the criteria for who is allowed to see your deck. If someone does not meet your Vilter criteria, they will not know you exist on the platform.
The Invisibility Vilter is a specific type of Vilter that operates at the individual-person level rather than the demographic-category level. It is described in Section 3.3.
ViSi is bidirectional. Both people must pass each other's filters for a connection opportunity to exist. This creates consent-based discovery: you only appear to people you have pre-approved by category, and they only appear to you if you meet their criteria.
3.6 Deck Privacy
Your deck is not publicly visible. It is only shown to other Lovers who pass through your Vilter settings. Your deck cannot be indexed by search engines, shared via direct link, or accessed by non-authenticated users.
3.7 Messaging
Messaging on Love On Deck is available only between mutually matched Lovers. You may not use messaging to harass, threaten, spam, solicit, or send unsolicited commercial content. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.
4. Forge On Deck
Forge On Deck is a personal development and life optimization product operated by On Deck Society, available at OnDeckSociety.com/forge.
4.1 What Forge On Deck Is
Forge On Deck provides a personal dashboard for tracking goals, habits, life area scores, and weekly reviews. It also provides access to five AI-powered coaching personas (Rose, Blaze, Archer, Penny, and Nova) that offer guidance in life direction, fitness, career development, personal finance habits, and personal passions.
4.2 What Forge On Deck Is Not
Forge On Deck coaches are artificial intelligence. They are not human beings. They are not licensed professionals. They do not provide medical advice, mental health counseling, therapy, financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any other form of licensed professional service.
- Blaze (Fitness) does not replace a doctor, physical therapist, or registered dietitian. Do not begin any exercise program based on Blaze's suggestions without consulting your physician.
- Penny (Finance) does not replace a licensed financial advisor, CPA, or tax professional. Penny will never recommend specific securities, investment products, or tax strategies.
- Rose (Life) does not replace a therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or licensed counselor. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or self-harm ideation, contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or your local emergency services immediately.
- Archer (Career) does not replace an employment attorney or HR professional.
- Nova (Passions) does not replace qualified instruction in any specific activity domain.
You acknowledge that all coaching interactions are AI-generated content and that you use Forge On Deck's coaching features at your own risk. On Deck Society is not liable for any decision you make based on coaching interactions.
4.3 What You Are Buying
Base Product. The Forge On Deck base product is a one-time purchase at the price displayed at time of purchase. It gives you permanent access to the Forge On Deck dashboard, including goal tracking, habit tracking, life area scoring, the quest system, weekly reviews, and the Forge On Deck Score. This access does not expire. There is no subscription fee for dashboard access. The base product includes a one-time starter pack of coaching credits. The number of starter credits is displayed at time of purchase. These starter credits do not renew.
Coaching Credit Packs. AI coaching messages require credits. When your starter credits run out, you can purchase additional credit packs at various price points. Purchased credits never expire. Each coaching message (one message sent by you, one response from the coach) consumes one credit. On Deck Society reserves the right to adjust credit pack pricing and quantities with reasonable notice. Credits already purchased will not be affected by pricing changes.
Add-Ons. On Deck Society may offer additional coaches, features, avatar style packs, and other add-ons for separate purchase. Each add-on will display its price and description before purchase. Add-on purchases are permanent unless otherwise stated at the point of sale.
No Refunds. All Forge On Deck sales are final. On Deck Society does not offer refunds on the base product, coaching credit packs, or add-ons. Digital goods are delivered immediately upon purchase and cannot be returned.
Forge On Deck is a personal development product, not a person-to-person connection product. It is not included in Founding Member benefits under Section 6.2.
4.4 How Your Coaches Work Together
Forge On Deck's five coaching personas share context with each other within your account. Information you share with one coach may be referenced by another coach to provide more relevant guidance. This cross-coach context sharing is a core product feature. Your coaching data is never shared with other Forge On Deck users.
4.5 AI Data Processing
Your coaching conversations are processed by a third-party AI provider (currently Anthropic) to generate coach responses. Your conversation data is sent to the AI provider's API for processing and returned in real time. Your conversations are not used to train AI models. On Deck Society generates rolling summaries of your coaching conversations to maintain context across sessions. These summaries are stored in our database and used solely to improve your coaching experience.
4.6 Forge On Deck Score
The Forge On Deck Score is a motivational tool that measures effort and consistency across your five coaching domains, scored out of 100. It is not a clinical assessment. It is not a measure of your personal worth, mental health, physical health, or overall life quality. It measures whether you are showing up and putting in effort toward your stated goals. Do not use the Forge On Deck Score as a substitute for professional assessment of any kind.
4.7 Affiliate Links in Coaching
Forge On Deck coaches may recommend third-party products and services during coaching conversations. Some recommendations may contain affiliate links. When you purchase through an affiliate link, On Deck Society may earn a commission. Affiliate relationships do not influence which products coaches recommend. On Deck Society will provide a clear disclosure when affiliate links are present.
4.8 Forge On Deck Acceptable Use
You will not use Forge On Deck to generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable. You will not attempt to manipulate coaching personas into providing professional advice they are programmed to decline. You will not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with coaching personas or consume credits at scale. You will not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the system prompts or proprietary configuration of Forge On Deck's coaching personas.
5. Future Products
On Deck Society's product suite is expanding. Future products may include Friends On Deck (friend finding), Vibes On Deck (community and discussion), and additional verticals under the On Deck Society umbrella. When new products launch, product-specific terms will be added to these Terms or published as supplements. Your use of any new product constitutes acceptance of applicable terms.
Whether a new product is included in Founding Member benefits is determined under Section 6.2.
6. Subscriptions and Pricing (Love On Deck)
6.1 Free Accounts
You can create an account, build your deck, and set your Vilters for free.
On Love On Deck, a free account can search using Silters, see the full results of that search, and see how many Lovers you are visible to. Opening another Lover's deck requires Premium.
Free-tier access varies by product, and some products have no free tier. Where a product offers one, we describe it on that product's pages.
6.2 Founding Members
The first 500 verified Lovers on Love On Deck are Founding Members, along with anyone else we have identified as a Founding Member. Founding Member status is permanently closed. Your status is recorded on your account and shown on your account page. If your account shows Founding Member status, you have it.
What Founding Members get. Free Premium for Life on Love On Deck and on every person-to-person product On Deck Society releases. This means Premium access at no charge, for as long as you keep your account. There is nothing to pay and nothing to renew.
What “person-to-person” means. A person-to-person product is one built for individuals to find and connect with other individuals for their own personal relationships. Love On Deck, Friends On Deck, and Vibes On Deck are person-to-person products, and so is any future product with that purpose.
A product is not person-to-person when either of the following is true:
- Someone on the other side is acting commercially. If a product connects you to a business, an organization, or a professional offering goods or services, it is a commercial product, even though real people are on both sides. The commercial verticals under Everything On Deck work this way.
- The product is not about connecting you with other people. Products focused on your own development, learning, or self-improvement are not person-to-person products. Forge On Deck works this way. It is a personal development product with its own one-time pricing and coaching credit packs, and it is not included in Founding Member benefits.
We keep a current list of the products covered by Founding Member benefits at OnDeckSociety.com/founding-benefits. When we launch a new product, we will say whether it is covered at or before launch.
How long benefits last. Founding Member benefits last as long as you keep your account in good standing. They end if you delete your account or if we terminate it under these Terms. If we discontinue a product, benefits for that product end when it does. Founding Member status does not expire and cannot be lost by not using it.
6.3 Locked Rates for Early Adopters and Builders
- Early Adopters (Lovers 501 through 1,500): $4.99 per month for Premium
- Builders (Lovers 1,501 through 2,500): $8.99 per month for Premium
These rates are locked. We will not raise them, even when standard pricing changes.
Early Adopters and Builders also receive access at no charge to person-to-person Everything On Deck verticals as they launch, for as long as their subscription is active. Commercial verticals under Everything On Deck are not included. Section 6.2 defines which products are person-to-person, and the current list of covered products is at OnDeckSociety.com/founding-benefits.
There is no Basic tier for Lovers 1 through 2,500. Premium is the only tier available at these rates.
6.4 Cancelling and Deleting
What cancelling costs you depends on your tier, and what you keep is your rate rather than your access. Read the part that applies to you.
What happens to everyone who cancels. Your Premium access ends at the close of the period you already paid for, and you return to being a Citizen with free-tier access. You are not charged again. You cannot resubscribe until that period ends, because our payment processor cannot restart a cancelled subscription. Section 6.1 describes what free-tier access includes.
Founding Members have nothing to cancel. If you are a Founding Member, your Premium access is free and permanent. There is no subscription and no billing. The only way to lose it is to delete your account.
Lovers 501 through 2,500: your rate is permanent. If you are an Early Adopter or a Builder, your rate belongs to your Lover number, not to your subscription. Cancelling does not take it away.
Cancel and come back a month later, or a year later, and you pay the same rate you had before. Lover 550 who cancels and returns is still Lover 550 and still pays $4.99. The same is true if you leave Love On Deck for another product and come back.
What you give up while cancelled is access, not price. You return to free tier until you subscribe again, and when you do, you pay your original rate.
Lovers 2,501 and above: your rate is locked only while your subscription stays active. If you subscribed at standard pricing, the price you signed up at is locked for as long as your subscription stays continuously active. If we raise standard prices, the new price applies to new subscriptions only. We will never raise the price on an active subscription.
Cancelling breaks that lock. If you subscribe again later, you pay whatever standard pricing is at that time, which may be higher than what you were paying. We cannot restore your old price.
If you are on standard pricing and thinking about cancelling for a break, your price is what you are giving up, and it is the one thing we cannot give back.
Deleting your account is different, and it is permanent. Your numbers belong to your On Deck Society account. If you delete that account, you lose your Citizen number, your Lover number, and any other product number, along with any Founding Member status, locked rate, or product access that came with them.
If you create a new account later, you are a new Citizen with a new number, you receive the next available Lover number when you join Love On Deck, and you pay whatever rate applies to that number at that time. This applies to everyone, including Founding Members. We cannot restore a deleted account's numbers or rates.
6.5 Standard Pricing (Lovers 2,501 and after)
- Love On Deck Basic: $9.99 per month
- Love On Deck Premium: $24.99 per month
A Love On Deck subscription includes Friends On Deck at no additional charge.
Changes to standard pricing do not affect Founding Members, Early Adopters, or Builders, and do not affect any subscription that is already active. See Section 6.4.
6.6 How Your Tier Is Determined
Your tier is set by your Lover number, which is assigned when your submitted deck is approved. Once assigned, your Lover number never changes.
6.7 Billing and Renewal
Subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment processor, currently PayPal. Your subscription renews automatically every month at the rate shown when you subscribed, and you will be charged that amount each month until you cancel.
Before you subscribe, we will show you the amount, the billing frequency, and how to cancel. After you subscribe, we will send you a confirmation with the same information.
You can cancel at any time in Settings, in no more steps than it took to subscribe. Cancelling stops all future charges.
Your payment is processed by PayPal and is subject to PayPal's own terms. We are not responsible for payment failures caused by your payment method or by PayPal.
6.8 Refunds
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel, your Premium access continues through the end of your current billing period.
6.9 Advertising and Promotional Content
On Deck Society uses paid advertising on third-party platforms (currently Snap, Reddit, Pinterest, and Meta) to reach new users. We use industry-standard advertising tracking pixels on our marketing and signup pages to measure ad performance and reach interested audiences. These pixels do not run inside our products. Our use of these pixels and the data shared with advertising platforms is described in detail in our Privacy Policy.
We do not currently display third-party advertising inside the Love On Deck or Forge On Deck products to our users. If we add an in-product advertising surface in the future, these Terms and the Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly with at least 30 days notice.
7. Forge On Deck Purchases
All Forge On Deck purchases (base product, credit packs, and add-ons) are processed through PayPal. All Forge On Deck sales are final as described in Section 4.3. Dashboard access and all non-coaching features will always work regardless of your credit balance. You will never be locked out of your own data.
8. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate any user
- Post or transmit content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or fraudulent
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Use any On Deck Society product for commercial solicitation without prior written consent
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access or interact with our platform
- Interfere with the operation of our platform or other users' enjoyment of it
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Upload contact information to the Invisibility Vilter that you do not have the right to share
- Coordinate with other users to exclude an individual or a protected class in a manner constituting harassment
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Our Property
On Deck Society, Love On Deck, Forge On Deck, the ViSi system, Silters, Vilters, the Invisibility Vilter, and all associated branding, software, and content are the property of On Deck Society. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written consent.
9.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create on our platform, including your deck content, coaching conversations, messages, and Forge On Deck data. By posting content on Love On Deck, you grant us a limited license to display that content to other users as part of the platform's functionality (for example, showing your deck to Lovers who pass your Vilters). This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
10. Disclaimers
On Deck Society products are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the operation of our products, the accuracy of any content, or the conduct of other users.
We do not guarantee that you will find a romantic partner, make friends, achieve personal development goals, or experience any particular outcome from using our products. Results depend entirely on you.
For Forge On Deck specifically: all coaching content is AI-generated and is not professional advice of any kind. You use coaching features at your own risk.
We use third-party advertising platforms (Snap, Reddit, Pinterest, and Meta) to reach new users. Those platforms are operated by Snap Inc., Reddit Inc., Pinterest Inc., and Meta Platforms, Inc. respectively, each subject to its own terms of service and privacy policy. On Deck Society is not responsible for the practices of those third-party platforms. We describe what data we share with them in our Privacy Policy.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, On Deck Society's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of our products will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) $100.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from actions you take based on AI coaching interactions, connections made through Love On Deck, or any other use of our products.
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to contact us at legal@OnDeckSociety.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
12.2 Arbitration
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of any On Deck Society product will be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in Phoenix, Arizona.
12.3 Class Action Waiver
YOU AGREE THAT ANY ARBITRATION OR LEGAL PROCEEDING SHALL BE CONDUCTED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT AS A CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
12.4 Exceptions
Either party may bring claims in small claims court if the claims qualify. Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction for intellectual property infringement or unauthorized access to our services.
12.5 Opt-Out
You may opt out of the arbitration provision by sending written notice to legal@OnDeckSociety.com within 30 days of your first account creation or first purchase (whichever is earlier). If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
12.6 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13. Termination
13.1 By You
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@OnDeckSociety.com. Before you do, read Section 6.4, which explains what deleting your account permanently costs you.
13.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms or our Community Guidelines
- Conduct that is harmful to other users, us, or third parties
- Conduct that violates applicable law
- Extended periods of inactivity
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use all On Deck Society products ceases immediately. We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. For Forge On Deck users: dashboard access ends upon termination. Unused coaching credits are forfeited.
If you delete your account or we terminate it, you permanently lose your Citizen number, your Lover number, any other product numbers, and any Founding Member status or locked rate that came with them. Creating a new account later means new numbers at whatever rates apply at that time. We cannot restore a deleted account's numbers or rates.
14. Modifications
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or via email. Your continued use of any On Deck Society product after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. General Provisions
15.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and On Deck Society regarding your use of our products.
15.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
15.3 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
15.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
15.5 Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
